The history of this town is strictly linked to the Apparition of Saint Michael the Archangel and the establishment of the Sanctuary in VI century AD. In 2011, Monte Sant’Angelo was added to the Unesco World Heritage List. This historical village boasts a limestone landscape rich in Karstic Caves and a peculiar medieval district “quartiere Junno”.
