GUIDED TOUR OF BARLETTA IN BRIEF

Meeting with the guide in the castle gardens, in front of the main entrance. We will begin the visit of the Swabian Castle, starting from the basement, the terraces, the internal rooms where we can admire the half-bust portraying Emperor Frederick II.Next, we will arrive at the Romanesque-Gothic Cathedral, also entering here to learn more about both the underground and external parts. Entering the historic center we will parade through characteristic alleys and signs of the past. We will arrive at the famous Cantina della Disfida taking a look at the memorabilia kept and listening to the incredible story that makes it the protagonist.Finally, we will parade and take photographs under the colossus of "Heraclius" and in front of the church of the Holy Sepulchre.

OPTION 2.FULL DAY TOUR BARLETTA MEDIEVAL ROUTE WITH VISIT TO THE CASTLE, CATHEDRAL, CANTINA DELLA DISFIDA AND PINACOTECA DE NITTIS

This itinerary, in addition to the medieval part, also includes a visit to the prestigious Palazzo della Marra, which houses the Pinacoteca with the collection of paintings by Giuseppe de Nittis.The morning will therefore take place as per option 1, while the afternoon will be dedicated to visiting the Palazzo della Marra, an example of Lecce Baroque. We will go up to the rooms on 2 floors, where we will admire the most important works of the impressionist artist born in Barletta and lived mainly in Paris. Among the works in the collection we mention “Breakfast in the garden”, “Self-portrait”, “The living room of Princess Matilde. At the end we will continue towards the historic center to admire the Cathedral, La Cantina delle Disfida until ending at the castle (exterior only).
