Papier-mâché workshop in Lecce in brief
You will enter a laboratory where time seems to have stopped. Here, the papier-mâché comes to life between ancient gestures and handed down stories, and you will be the protagonist of this creative ritual.
After a brief introduction on the history of the Lecce papier-mâché, you will begin to model your object: a sculpture that will reflect your imagination. Adults will create a work of about 30 cm, while children will model a smaller one, designed especially for them.
In the mid-morning, there will be a delicious break with the freshly baked Leccese pasticciotto accompanied by a drink. Immediately after, we will visit together the Church of the Nova, one of the symbolic places of sacred papier-mâché, where you will be told anecdotes, techniques and secrets of this ancient tradition.

Recommendation to the organizers to improve on future tours: The break half way through for a pasticciotto is definitely not necessary. We all would have rather prioritized our time on the activity (We all love pasticciotto very much, but it's not a value-add for this specific workshop to stop for a snack break; it felt silly and unnecessary).
